We have just arrived from our trip. We had a good trip in Brazil, and we would like to thank you for that. The trip had mostly very positive aspects.
In Sao Paulo the hotel was very good (L'Hotel) the airport pick up and drop off were on time and very professional. This service worked very well in all locations.
In Rio, the hotel (Marina Palace), the location, the room and the service were exceptional! The guide was very competent and we enjoyed every moment.
In Manaus the hotel was OK, the room we got was average. The one day trip on Amazon was very interesting and very well organized.

We have returned from Brazil. With your help - WE HAD A WONDERFUL TRIP. The hotels that you set up for us were wonderful, clean and the breakfast food was good. We especially like the Continental Inn Hotel food. The people at the desk at the Mar in Rio were very helpful. We were connected with the Grey Line for the tours we did in Rio. Sunday evening, we had time and so the desk set up for us to go to a Samba show at the Platform. It was WONDERFUL. We really enjoyed it.
Again, thank you for all your help. We would not want to change anything that we did nor the order in which we did all the events. We feel that expecially the first week. We did 2 weeks of activity in those days. IT WAS GREAT. We loved Brazil!
We came back from our South American journey last week. We wanted to let you know that you did a terrific job booking our Buenos Aires and Iguazu Falls aspects of the trip! The tour company in Buenos Aires took excellent care of us, beyond the call of duty (e.g., Patricia, our guide, made an extra trip to the Marriott to pick up our extra luggage when we went to Iguazu and they came to transfer us to the ship).
Iguazu was fantastic! Thanks for getting us into the Tropical Cataratas. It was a thrill of a lifetime. You're arrangements there were perfect.

The staff spoke great english, the staff was always smiling and ready to help, the rooms were clean and had a modern decor, the breakfast was delicious, and the hotel even provided us with free umbrellas for the beach. The staff was very helpful in getting calling our cabs and helping us get the best deal back to the airport. Perhaps the most important aspect of this hotel was the great location. This hotel is right in the middle of the Ipanema shopping and restaurant district so we really felt immersed in Rio culture."

My tour guide while at Iguaçu Falls was very friendly and helpful. His name was Evandro de Brito. I enjoyed the boat ride up to the falls and also managed to get plenty of relaxation.

The summer trip was wonderful, the best part was at the Ecopark and the travels up the river and in the forest, plus we had some great nights sitting around the bar visiting with all the guys and travelers.
My guide there was the best, and did a lot of extra's, could have stayed there longer--Rio had down-pour all the time, in all it was a great trip.

Thank you for your help in a stunning adventure!! All of your plans and preparation were perfect, and it all ran like clock work.
Rio was more than I expected! It is truly beautiful, and lush; gorgeous people; beautiful scenery; and we felt safe with our person meeting us each time at the airport, and then returning us to our next flight plus all of the tours, and tour leaders.
We really enjoyed seeing Iguazu Falls.... (and getting wet on the raft trip)! It was a wonderful experience to compare it to Niagara here, and Victoria in Africa. There had been a lot of rain the week before, so the cataracts and the falls were full and over-powering. It was amazing.
The best of all was Ouro Preto.... truly a wonderful step back into history, and it was made even more wonderful by our guide, Blair de Assis. He loves his Brazil, and shared many wonderful pieces of information with us.... He has our recommendation for future tourists.... just wonderful!
All in all, it was a wonderful (but short) vacation and small taste of a fabulous part of the world. South America has my vote for a return trip and Brazil is a real point of interest! (we did some damage at H. Stern!!!) Great fun, and thank you for everything... we will recommend you to our friends.

Now that I have some time, I wanted to give feedback. First, I enjoyed my trip very much. All hotel accomodations were fine and staff helpful. All tours were fine. Drivers were prompt, friendly and helpful with local information.

We had a fabulous time in Brazil. Everything went smoothly in regards pick-ups and transfers and the accomodation was great. Some great hotels in super locations.
Thanks for your advice re Hotel Othon Palace at Copacabana : we visited the top floor for the view but not a patch on the friendly and modern Potinari.Toured Rio, went to the ballet at the Teatro Municipal, went on the tram up St Theresa, swam in the rough and rather chilly sea at Copa and ipanema, saw Stomp at Barra..... stood in Pele's footsteps at the Maracana and danced the samba in the Samba drome... toured the Copa Fort...... no problems ... police presence in Rio and Copa but have to be careful .. Buzios was hot and sunny : good for snoorkelling - great room at Colonna Park over the cove Elizabeth can do Capoeira and joined the local group for dances and classes.. great to wander the main town and see all the boutiques... then to Foz de Iguazu : what an experience on the boats into the waterfalls, would suggest two full days here rather than one , so much to see and do , would have liked the rafting, abseiling etc to try in the Adventure valley Then to Manaus : Amazon Village great : interesting treks into the forest and as rainy season just over the rivers were high and graet to go by boat and see the tops of trees in the water as you pass.....visited a guy making rubber condoms from his own latex fronm his own trees.... a real character... just missed seeing an anaconda ... didnt catch any pirahna but the guide did catch a small alligator Visited Fortaleza : the hotel was great now under Othon banner : liked the beach and promenade, visited Drago de Mar to the Planetarium and the Dance theatre (like all types of dance ) Recife --- Olinde : good tour then to Salvador : excellent guide called Costas.... lovely restaurants, interesting churches and emeralds to see...Lighthouse and the little Christ statue super Candomble/Forro/Capoeira dancing show in the former slave quarters of the cane factory Hotel in need of some upgrades which seemed to be happening... Excellent stay at Praia de Forte : great to unwind for a few days here... super beach settting, saw lots of animals in the grounds, went snorkelling and coanoeing, excellent entertainment, swimming pools great and finally to the Copa Palace : great experience : offered us a suite rather than the standard room we had booked and so graet end to our holiday.
As u can guess, we have had a great time - and a lot due to your itinary suggestions and the way the pick-ups /transfers went smoothly. Thanks"
