Samba Land or the Terreirao do Samba is a large area in downtown Rio where Carnival attendees and revelers get a chance to party and interact with each other. The attraction operates all through the Carnival period and the Terreirao do Samba gives Carnival goers an opportunity to enjoy an extra dose of music, dance and local food.

Music is the main attraction here and has been drawing the crowds to the Terreirao do Samba every year. The large stage at the venue is host to anywhere between 3 to 10 performances in a single night. The music starts by about 7 in the evening and goes on till 3 in the morning everyday during the Rio Carnival. Most of the performers at the Terreirao do Samba come from Samba schools and previous performers include Belo, Dudu Nobre, Exaltasamba and Arlindo Cruz.
Located on the Pranca Onze near the Sambadrome, the Terreirao do Samba can hold about 300 people and 50 food stalls. Samba Land offers party goers the best combination of original music, authentic local food and a chance to dance to the beats of the Samba musicians.
