Rio de Janeiro is quite simply one of the world's most beautiful and vibrant cities, and is the number one destination for visitors coming to Brazil, including its famous beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana. Several iconic sights, including the Corcovado and the Sugar Loaf mountain, provide unforgettable views out of the entire city. Energetic beaches, Carnaval, Samba, Soccer and Bossa Nova will seduce you forever.

Iguazu Fall is considered by many to be South America's greatest natural sight. shared between Brazil and Argentina, the falls are completely surrounded by nature preserves and national parks, containing one of the largest surviving tracts of Atlantic forest in the continent.

The most European of all Latin American cities, Buenos Aires has among its many options, such as theaters, restaurants, parks and museums great choices to delight all kind of tastes, in a Paris and Barcelona looking city.

Bariloche is a quaint Swiss like town and considered the cradle of South American skiing. It is the gateway to the ski area "Gran Catedral". No other Argentinean ski area can beat Bariloche in nightlife, dining, cinemas, theater, discos and a casino.

A great vacation city in the Lake District, just a short ride north from Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, The City of Roses, has casinos, restaurants and hotels. It stands besides Chile's largest lake, Lake Llanquihue. Across the lake two magnificent volcanoes complete the scenery.

Santiago is a modern, clean, cosmopolitan city, with cheap and efficient subway, opera, modern hotels and restaurants. Being the capital, it is the business center with the government offices, stock exchange and trade and commercial center and very easy to get around.

What will happen, day by day

Day 1: South America Express
Rio de Janeiro
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Welcome to the Wonderful City. Private Transfer to your hotel. Accommodations shall be ready, so that you can freshen up and rest before exploring the wonderful city.

Day 2: South America Express
Rio de Janeiro
Full Day City Tour to Sugar Loaf and Corcovado, where the statue of Jesus Christ, the Redeemer stands, with guide. Lunch at a famous Barbecue restaurant is also included. You may change the date of this tour at your convenience.

Day 3: South America Express
Rio de Janeiro
This is the last day in Rio. It may be time for shopping. Visit the Amsterdam Sauer Jewelry Museum. They provide free transportation to and from the hotel. We can arrange this visit for FREE. In the evening, as an optional tour we suggest a wonderful dinner followed by a spectacular samba show with elaborately costumed mulatas, singers and dancers, presenting Brazil's folklore and capturing the carnival rhythms.

Day 4: South America Express
Rio de Janeiro-Iguazu Falls
Transfer to Airport to board the flight to Iguazu Falls. Reception at airport. Transfer to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure. Overnight.

Day 5: South America Express
Iguazu Falls
After breakfast, Tour to the Falls with guide, Brazilian side. Rest of day at leisure. You may want to experience another tour: Macuco Safari, when you will be able to travel along the dense jungle in a 4 x 4 wheel drive open wagon with specialized guides to appreciate the variety of the flora and the fauna. Then you will take a short walk through a jungle trail to reach the Macuco fall. Crossing a bridge to the coast of Iguazu River, you will board a motor boat that will take you upstream the Iguazu River Canyon to have a closer look of the Devil’s Throat and San Martin falls. Other nice tours available: Bird Park. Helicopter ride, Itaipu Damm.

Day 6: South America Express
Iguazu-Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Transfer to Iguazu airport to board your flight to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Reception and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon Private City Tour through the Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the president’s residence, the Teatro Colon Opera House and Avenida 9 de Julio which happens to be the world’s widest boulevard, Boca District, the Cathedral. Evening at leisure. (This tour can be scheduled for another day, depending on your arrival time in Buenos Aires)

Day 7: South America Express
Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Day at leisure so you can visit the San Telmo Market (Antiques) or take a full-day tour to an Argentinean Ranch (Estancias) for a Gaucho style barbecue lunch featuring folklore and dance.

Day 8: South America Express
Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Day at leisure. Explore the surroundings of your hotel and the city’s architecture and sophistication, compared to Paris. For the last night in Buenos Aires, the Tango’s home, we suggest a Tango show with dinner at Senor Tango, El Viejo Almacen or at La Esquina de Carlos Gardel. Discover how the tango became one of the most elegant and sensual dances of the world.

Day 9: South America Express
Buenos Aires-Bariloche
Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to Buenos Aires airport to board your flight to Bariloche. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight.

Day 11: South America Express
Bariloche
Breakfast and departure for a panoramic tour including a 40-mile ride around Bariloche and its beautiful surroundings. During the tour, marvel at lakes of emerald waters, snow-capped mountains, islands, and millenary forests. Free evening. Overnight.

Day 12: South America Express
Bariloche-Peulla
Prepare yourself for an amazing day: the first leg of your lake crossing journey. Departure by bus from the hotel in the city of Bariloche heading for Puerto Pañuelo. Upon arrival, one-hour sail aboard the El Condor catamaran along the Brazo Blest. Visit to the Cascada de los Cántaros Falls. Time for lunch (optional) at the cozy Hostería Blest restaurant with an incomparable view to the lake. After lunch, bus ride to Puerto Alegre bordering the Frias Lake for 3 kilometers. 15 – minute Caleuche motorboat sail in Lake Frias for 15 minutes reaching the first view of mount Cerro Tronador. Arrival to Puerto Frias, migration office – Argentine customs. Once the migration procedure has been completed, a 29 – kilometer bus ride takes you to Peulla crossing the border at Vicente Pérez Rosales and passing through the exuberant vegetation of the Cordillera de los Andes mountain range. Chilean customs and migration procedure to enter the country. Stay at the Peulla Hotel. Dinner

Day 14: South America Express
Peulla-Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas
Breakfast and the journey goes on aboard the Lagos Andinos catamaran, cutting through the impressive waters on Lake Lago de Todos los Santos, taking in the view of Mount Cerro Puntiagudo and the imposing Osorno Volcano. Arrival to Petrohué. From there, the tour continues by bus and one last stop is made to observe the Petrohué Falls. Arrival to the city of Puerto Varas and later to Puerto Montt bordering Lake Llanquihue.

Day 15: South America Express
Puerto Montt
This morning, a guided private tour of Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas will introduce you to the secrets of the main towns in the District. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight.

Day 16: South America Express
Puerto Montt-Santiago
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Santiago. Reception and transfer to your hotel. Accommodations. Day at leisure.

Day 10: South America Express
Santiago
Breakfast. Departure from the hotel. The ride starts touring the San Francisco Church, and then it visits the Colonial Museum, famous for its religious art. Afterwards, the tour passes in front of the Municipal Theater and continues to visit the Fine Arts Museum to admire one of the best collections of Chilean paintings. Then, it proceeds to the Bellavista quarter, a restaurant and art gallery sector, from where it goes uphill the San Cristóbal Hill on a funicular for a panoramic view of the city. The excursion concludes with a visit of the Ralli Foundation Museum. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 13: South America Express
Depart Santiago
Breakfast. Check out. Transfer to airport to board your homebound flight or proceed to your next destination.
